TiE Social Entrepreneurs was founded in April 2006 by Charter Members of TiE Boston. Since our launch, we have focused on three key activities: Networking EventsThe foundation of TiE Social Entrepreneurs is our tradition of hosting outstanding networking opportunities throughout the year. All of our events feature dynamite panels of thought leaders, great food, and high-quality networking. Guest speakers have included industry leaders like Iqbal Qadir, Vanessa Kirsch, Desh Deshpande, Swanee Hunt, and many more. A full list of our upcoming and previous events and speakers can be found here. MentoringOne of TiE Social Entrepreneurs’ highest value-add activities is coaching young company CEOs and helping them access the broad resources and expertise available within TiE. Since our founding, we have mentored companies at all stages, from student teams entering b-plan competitions, to multi-million dollar non-profits gearing up for their next expansion. Coaching is entirely volunteer based and at no cost. To learn more about our mentoring activities, please contact us at info@tie-se.org ForSEThe annual Forum for Social Entrepreneurs is TiE SE’s flagship event. Launched in November 2007 in partnership with the Deshpande Foundation and Boston University, ForSE is New England’s premiere event for on-the-ground social entrepreneurs and the concerned investors and professionals working with them. Click here for more details.
